I seem to recall once seeing a button inside the "Additional Content" display of the game asking me to click on it to update a subscribed mod, but that was the only instance it ever happened. From the list of regions, select the area closest to your location and click on Ok. Click on the section titled ‘Download region’ to reveal the list of servers that Steam has across the world. My specific concern is not being able to tell whether my subscribed mods are being updated to the latest versions. By following the steps mentioned in the previous method, open the ‘Download’ settings page. For the Workshop subscribed mods, it's been more difficult, since the mods listed there don't display version number info like they did with Civ 5.
